Pencil

Any design project for me begins with a pencil. When I want to capture ideas, the first thing I do is pick up a pencil and start sketching. It embodies the origin of every idea. So Pencil, as a logotype that has its shorthand icon built in, felt like the obvious thing to represent me.

Logo and visual identity design, typography.

Pencil & Paper

Pencil becomes Pencil & Paper for my lino printing studio. Like Pencil, Pencil & Paper also represents a starting point, but with an extra nod to things non-digital and hand made. My prints are printed on paper and so each print, when signed, also ends with pencil and paper.

As well as the pencil, a piece of folded paper is there too, if you look closely.

An embossed supporting logo, with a backward ampersand creating a hidden S.
